Bellingham Underwriters has long been one of the most stable and reliable underwriting management firms in the country. We have broadened our ability to provide creative solutions with the addition of our Lloyd’s Auto Physical Damage and Motor Truck Cargo program. Our Lloyd’s Auto Physical Damage and Motor Truck Cargo accounts will be handled from start to finish by Bellingham Underwriters. Our approach incorporates standard policy forms, flexible underwriting, quick turnaround time and the exemplary customer service that you have come to expect from us.

Auto Physical Damage

  • Up to $300,000 any one unit/$500,000 any one combined unit

Motor Truck Cargo

  • Limits up to $300,000 any one vehicle

AZ, AR, CA, CO, ID, IL, MT, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA

Target Markets
  • Agricultural class – including but not limited to fruit, produce, vegetable, grain, feed, seed, refrigerated, fertilizer haulers, hay, livestock
  • Auto Hauler – Used autos on fixed contracts
  • Container haulers – drayage container haulers in the Ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach and Portland (excluding Oakland or Seattle Ports)
  • Dirt, rock, sand and Gravel – DRSG of all kinds (including dirty dirt & frac sand) (written selectively in urban areas)
  • Dry Van haulers – focusing on regional hauls with fixed regular routes
  • Flatbed classes – building materials, steel, rebar, lumber, heavy equipment
  • Log haulers – Log haulers for hire and private log haulers either finished lumber or raw logs
  • LTL haulers – Less than Truckload risks
  • Mixed Use Classes – All mixed operation class (partial agriculture and sand and gravel or flatbed and produce etc.)
  • Oversized/Overweight – OS/OW haulers with specialty configurations and equipment
  • Pneumatic goods – bulk dry goods, dry cement, lime, fly ash, etc.
  • Refrigerated Haulers – Reefer haulers focusing on regional hauls with fixed regular routes
  • Scrap Metal Haulers – Scrap metal including metal debris removal
  • Tankers haulers – Tanker haulers including wine, dairy operations, milk processed or raw, water, syrup, molasses, liquid fertilizers, petroleum (will not write pollution on petroleum haulers)
  • US Mail USPS – Contract haulers for US mail service and USPS service
  • Vineyard haulers – Truckers associated with grape, production, hauling, bottling, processing

Trucking Non-fleet

  • BU Trucking Non-Fleet Application
  • IFTA’s (if available)
  • Current MVRs for all drivers
  • Currently valued loss runs for the prior four years
  • Copy of Brokerage and/or Sub-haul Contract (if applicable)
  • Any and all applicable supplemental coverage applications

Trucking Fleet (5 or more power units)

  • BU Trucking Fleet Application
  • Vehicle Schedule
  • IFTA’s
  • Current MVRs for all drivers
  • Driver list including DOB & DOH
  • List of terminal location if more than one terminal
  • Currently valued loss runs for the prior four years
  • Copy of brokerage and/or sub-haul contract (if applicable)
  • Current financial statement (required on all accounts with more than 25 power units)
  • Any and all applicable supplemental coverage applications

Trucking Non-Fleet Renewals

  • BU Renewal Application
  • IFTA’s (if available)
  • Current MVRs for all drivers
  • Currently valued loss runs for the prior four years
  • Copy of Brokerage and/or Sub-haul Contract (if applicable)
  • Any and all applicable supplemental coverage applications
